The Story Behind the Story
I've always been fascinated by the spaces between things—the moments between heartbeats, the silence between words, the threshold between what is and what could be. These liminal spaces are where I believe the most interesting stories live.
A Veil Sundered emerged from years of asking uncomfortable questions: What happens when the barriers we've built between realities begin to crumble? How do ordinary people respond when the impossible becomes inevitable? And most importantly, what are we willing to sacrifice to find our way home?
Background
My career in technology has taught me that the most powerful innovations often come from understanding human connection at its core. What looks like code and circuits is, at its heart, about people reaching out to people—sometimes across distances we never thought possible to bridge.
This perspective informs everything I write. Whether I'm exploring the boundaries between dimensions or the boundaries between hearts, I'm always drawn back to the same fundamental truth: we are all searching for connection, meaning, and a place where we belong.
The Writing Process
Writing A Road Between Us has been a journey of its own—a process of discovery, revision, and learning to trust the story as it unfolds. Some days the characters pull me forward; other days, I have to pull them. But every word brings me closer to understanding why this story needed to be told.
You can follow along in the Journal, where I share glimpses into the writing process, the research behind the story, and the occasional tangent about why certain details won't let me sleep at night.
