I was born in Minneapolis, MN in 1961. I started reading at a very early age and my mother gave me my love of books. In high school, I devoured every science fiction book I could find. Asimov, Bova, Clarke, Heinlein, Herbert, Bradbury, Phol, Wells and Niven in my early years and, recently, Weber, Drake, Flint, Clancy, Brown, Ringo and a slew of new authors as well. I read between 3 to 5 books a month. One, to learn how other authors write and two because I love a good story.
I graduated from High School in 1979 and joined the US Navy, volunteering for Submarine duty. I spent ten years in the Navy before being Honorably Discharged in 1989 as an E-6 [IC1(SS)]. Currently, I am employed in the Technical field working with a multi-national company as a Senior VIOP (Voice over IP) Engineer.
The process of becoming a writer was (and is still) a very long and arduous process. I’d toyed around with Writing from High School onwards but never did much of anything. In Sept. of 2013, events took place that showed me that I could, in fact, write. From that simple little spark, the conflagration that consumed me day in and day out started. In a daily cycle, the words flowed, sometimes as easy as opening a faucet and letting them flood the page and other times as hard as pulling teeth. But from that pain and happiness, the Chronicles of Sanctuary were born and I’d like an opportunity to share them with you. The story is a long one, covering ten full books, so curl up in your favorite reading spot with a beverage of your choice and follow me as we explore the world of Aidan, Keela, Ashley, Sam, Dustin, Christine and the Guardians. I warn you, this is not our world. Things don’t work and react the way we expect them to. So be careful while you’re here, you may not come back, or at the very least, when you return, you will be a different person.
I have traveled the world, spending time in over 125 different countries in the world. Currently, I reside in West Virginia, in Huntington, where Marshall University is located and, coincidentally, where the first book of the Chronicles of Sanctuary series starts.
I want to thank you all for stopping by and I hope that you enjoy the books as much as I enjoyed writing them. Please, make use of the site and be active. We have our Beta Readers program (Bookwyrms) and an Advanced Review Copy program as well. I frequently raffle off signed copies of books as well as eBook copies and some really neat swag.
